ABS-CBN Bayan Foundation's President Dr. Eduardo Morato, Jr. unveils "A Trilogy on Entrepreneurship"
In these challenging times, one of the best ways to survive the economic crunch is to endeavor into entrepreneurship. However, entrepreneurship also poses some risks especially to those who will venture into a business for the first time.
Seeing the need to "give a helping hand" to entrepreneurs as they scout around for opportunities, Dr. Eduardo Morato, Jr. recently launched a book series entitled "A Trilogy on Entrepreneurship." The three-volume textbook on entrepreneurship culled from almost three decades of research, teaching, mentoring and actual entrepreneurial pursuits of Dr. Morato aim to be a "handybook" for entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs.
"This book is my way of encouraging Filipinos to try their hands in entrepreneurship. This book will help them evaluate the many possible opportunities, focus on the most promising ones, establish enterprises to actualize the opportunities, invite investors and financiers to participate, and finally, launch and grow their enterprises," said Dr. Morato, who is also the president of ABS-CBN Bayan Foundation, an organization committed to social and enterprise development through microfinancing, grassroots entrepreneurship, technical skilling and job generation, and the propagation of entrepreneurship education.

Dr. Morató has been an educator since 1975. He has constantly introduced new degree and non-degree programs at the Asian Institute of Management where he held various positions. He was Dean of the Institute, Dean of the Graduate School of Business, Associate Dean for the Asian Center for Entrepreneurship and Associate Dean for the Center for Development Management. He conceptualized and developed the very innovative Master in Entrepreneurshipand the highly socially relevant Master in Development Management. He also redesigned the Master in Management into a Business Leadership course for mid-career executives. His other involvements in the field of education include board directorship and chairmanship of the Assumption College . He has lectured extensively all over the Philippines on Education Management and assisted institutions on strategic planning.

"The Trilogy on Entrepreneurship caps three decades of my entrepreneurial, research, teaching and mentoring work on the development of enterprises and the evolution of entrepreneurs. The trilogy is intended for schools offering degree courses on entrepreneurship as well for entrepreneurs who want to be guided in their adventurous undertakings," said Dr. Morato.
The author's 30 years of experience in establishing enterprises, teaching students, counseling entrepreneurs, consulting for executives, and researching on various topics related to entrepreneurship constitute the academic and practitioner foundations for this three-volume opus. A Trilogy on Entrepreneurship is divided into three books with the sub-titles of Preparing for Entrepreneurship, Creating the Enterprise , and Growing the Enterprise .

Dr. Morató earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, major in Economics at the Ateneo de Manila University. He obtained his Master in Business Management, with High Distinction from AIM and a PhD in Public Administration from the University of the Philippines where he was a consistent University Scholar. He has written twelve books and numerous articles, monographs and handbooks. The topics include Creativity and Intuition, Social Entrepreneurship, Finance, Development Management, Art, Leadership and Governance. Strategic Planning and Management and Self-Mastery. A Trilogy on Entrepreneurship contains the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth books of Dr. Morató.
